Work, DVDs, and Work

Okay, its been a long while since my last entry, primarily because finding time to write these entries is a tough challenge. I have been working on several projects both at work and at home. These projects have been wearing me thin when I get home leaving me effortless to really do much of anything else.

However, do not get me wrong. I thoroughly enjoy work and am having a blast resolving and enhancing current ongoing projects plus starting up a few projects that are soon to be deployed (as in 2006). There are many capabilities I have brought to the web for our Intranet group and many more capabilities I will be bringing to our agents.

I have been to work several days at 6:00 AM to deploy projects into Production and to make sure the transition goes smoothly. Tomorrow is another 6:00 AM work day as I release another enhanced version of a piece of software I have been helping out on (please note, I am not the only person working on it, I am just the one going in to make sure the move to production goes well — this release has enhancements from a variety of programmers).

Outside of the work life, my time has been primarily devoted to watching DVDs and doing some miscellaneous programming. I am currently working on a nice hack/modification to allow another company to use my cpCommerce software as a Boat listing project they can take to Show Rooms and show off their entire inventory to a lot of potential buyers. The testing phrase of this has slowed down due to the demands of work and the loss of energy after a long work day, but I am making ground each and every time I work on it.

I have picked up 14 new DVDs to add to my growing collection and I must say, getting 10 of them (5 for me, 5 for Kami) for 49 cents each was definitely a top selling point (anyone interested in getting 5 DVDs for 49 cents, give me a holler and I will hook you up!).

I plan to get back into the habit of writing these entries, so bare with me as I make the transition and build up the energy to write. I will update my DVD list here shortly so everyone can see what DVDs I am still lacking from my “Wish List”.
