The Dance…

Today the roofers finished the roof, FINALLY! Afterwards my Grandparents offered to take Kami and I out to eat to celebrate our engagement. Kami and I decided to go to Ruby Tuesday’s for dinner, where I had the Chicken and Broccoli Pasta and Kami had the Chicken Parmesana Pasta. Grandparents had the Top Sirloin and the Chicken and Broccoli Pasta as well.

Following dinner, Grandparents also offered to treat us to Ice Cream, but we were all so full at the current time we decided to wait an hour or two before venturing to that. Around 8:20 PM we headed out to get Ice Cream where I had Chocolate Chip, Kami had Buckeye, Gradma had Chocolate with Marshmallow topping and nuts, and Grandpa had a Sundae. We talked, cracked jokes, and enjoyed each others company.

Following Ice Cream, Kami and I went to go lock up the church and we were early as it was only 9:05 PM. It just so happened that a few people were having a small bible study at the time in the Sanctuary. We knew four out of the five, or at least I knew four out of the five there. Jill, Chuck, Bonnie, and Bob were all pleasantly surprised to hear that Kami and I are now engaged. When Kami hugged Jill (as her request) she then quickly showed her left hand to her and Jill just started dancing with Kami. Bonnie then made the remark that, that was one more couple off the “list”. We laughed and stared out her blankly, wondering what list we were supposedly on! Of course, we knew the answer to that but were quite surprised such a list existed.

After talking with Jill, Chuck, Bonnie, and Bob, Kami and I were wide awake as it seems we are just filled with energy anytime we get to share the EXCELLENT news with someone else. I have no idea what we are going to do once we notify everyone… Oh well, let’s just hope it doesn’t come to that!
