The Roofers Arrive!

This morning the roofers arrived and began working on replacing the roof to my grandparents home. They are not even close to finished and so they really need to get a lot of work done as they told my grandparents it would be done before they got back. My grandparents are expected back Saturday evening…

Kami came over around 4:30 PM and fixed Chicken and Broccolli for dinner. It was good, though it probably needs a tad more seasoning to it, as the flavor wasn’t quite there. However, based on the original recipe, it turned out good. Following dinner we went on a walk and I watered the shrubs out front. It has been a LONG while since we have had rain in our area of Findlay, and the yards are showing it!

Pool Lamp Following our walk we played Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 and watched TV and just enjoyed each others company. OH YEAH! And Kami got me a wonderful Pool lamp! It looks wonderful! Now I just need to get a light bulb for it.

Anyways, that was my day. I really do not have much else to add as I didn’t accomplish a whole lot today. Lately I have just needed to give myself a break from everything. I am finding myself too dependent on my computer work and so I am trying to keep away from it so I keep my sanity.

PayPal Sucks! Basketball Rocks!

Okay folks, especially those of you who use cpCommerce, many of you know that PayPal has yet to be included in the version 0.07rc1. Well, I downloaded the documentation a few days ago and MAN DOES IT SUCK! Especially from a programmer/developer position and here is my list on why!

  1. You have WAY TOO MUCH useless information! I do not need to know how it all works! All I want is a nice table that describes the information you expect from my application, and what I should expect in return from you. Pure and simple, that is all I need.
  2. This is partially related to Issue #1 as no one wants to read 72 pages of information. Hell, I do not even want to read 4 pages. I want a table of variable names, their restrictions, and a comment describing their usefulness to you!
  3. Considering this manual is “for developers”, it hardly reflects such. The manual has been nothing but a headache for me and I gave up trying to work with you! Why should I bother to put forth so much time finding all your hidden details in a 72 page document!

Okay, so really I only had 1 issue and expressed it 3 ways. Honestly PayPal, how can you provide such a useless document to us? Why not give us exactly what we need to accomplish the task at hand? A variable table for IPN, another table of PDT, etc. It can’t be that hard to produce or maintain!

Now, on a personal note, my day has been good. I woke up around Noon as Kami came over for lunch, and I then played golf for a while, ate dinner, went on a 4.2 mile bike ride, then setup a basketball hoop for Kami’s siblings. YES! Their Dad finally got one for them. I was shocked myself when I saw it. It took us till 9:30 PM to get it up (about two hours) and then we played hoops for a while making sure that when we threw the ball at it, it didn’t come crashing down. :-P Luckily it survived our testing, or else we would all be very disappointed.

After a few minutes of throwing a ball into a hoop, Kami and I headed back to my house to watch some good old television and to cuddle. I love that time :), it is very well spent. My day was pretty laid back today, nothing more than the above.

Where are the roofers?

Okay, interestingly enough, I was told that the company who is going to be redoing the roof of my grandparents home would be here Tuesday and be done by Wednesday. Well, Wednesday is now over with and there is still no sign of anyone redoing the roof… I am beginning to wonder if they are trying to rip off my grandparents. My grandparents let them know they would be out of town during that week and since then, I have had many doubts about this roofing project but the person is a good friend of my other grandparents, so I would think he would be of the honest type.

This afternoon Kami cleaned my grandparents home for them, and I mean thoroughly cleaned it. If there was any dust in the house, I guarantee you it is not there anymore! Cleaning is her love, and she treats it well. Originally, I was going to help her clean, but it seems I strained or pulled a muscle in my right thigh that hurt anytime pressure was put on it, so for the majority of the day, I stayed off of it.

During my time of staying off of it, I completed the last three tournaments on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003, so now I have every single trophy ball, all first place trophies in the tournaments, every scenario completed, all of the characters, all of the courses, every par 5 eagled, and all my stats maxed out at 105. I wish there was something I could spend the 18,605,345 dollars on in the game, but I can’t. Oh Well, looks like I will have to really start playing Vice City — though the game is SO BORING, I mean, its exactly like the first one, except in my opinion the graphics are chessy.

Around 6:00 PM I cooked Chilli and Rice for Kami and I. I must admit, I am a pretty good cook! :-P After dinner, we went to her house and she took a shower and then attempted to fix her vaccum cleaner (which seems to need a new filter). Following our errand run to KOHL’S for a filter and having no luck, we went back to my house and watched ‘The Gladdiator’ on TNT. Today, wasn’t too horrible and hopefully neither will be tomorrow.
