Ignorant People!

Okay, originally I wasn’t going to post tonight and was just going to wait till tomorrow, but this set me off.

An individual who has helped out graciously on several projects of mine had the nerve to send the following message:

(00:25:59) *********: are you really there? I was wondering something that I was trying to ask your last night
(00:29:51) *********: if your not there or your busy or something then you REALLY should make yourself away or offline dude.

Normally, this wouldn’t set me off, but this came from someone who ALWAYS has an AWAY message up! How freakin’ ignorant do you have to be to make such a remark when you constantly are misleading people yourself?! Don’t be the judge if you are also the criminal! Seriously, what would possess you to say this? It makes absolutely no sense, considering you are doing the exact same thing. For me however, I am constantly getting phone calls in and out on these weeks asking me to go to Interviews and thus I get up and leave. I do not think twice about it, I just do it! Sorry if I forget to put up an away message, but its not on my mind at the time.

Now to get on to my day. This morning I was up early to go get Kami’s gift (MAN IS IT GREAT!). I was a tad disappointed, but that quickly disappeared later and I am very proud of it. My trip to the post office was followed by me driving an hour and ten minutes to a city of which I have an Interview at on Thursday from 8:30 AM till 2:00/3:00 PM. I needed to make sure I knew where I was going and how long it would take me to get there.

Once I got back, Kami took me to Subway to get lunch and then we brought it back to my place to eat. It was good as usual. Following lunch, I tried to get work done on my computer when the power went out, and so I took that as a sign of ‘Do Not Bother’, so I didn’t. So instead, I took a drive to Kami’s house and found Nathan there (second of four brothers) and he was watching the movie ‘The Ladykillers’. Overall, this was a very crappy movie! Tom Hanks role was pathetic and his acting was entirely over done. Not only did you have to listen him speak like a snobby brit, but you had to deal with his hideous laugh every 15 seconds that he talked! The plot itself was weak, though the ending was quite humerous.

Following the movie, Kami and I went to dinner with my grandparents and then to go run a few errands. Nothing much really happened after that, and so I ended up taking her home around 10:00 PM and she went to bed. I then came home and watched TV and did a bit of Online reading until I had the message above sent to me.

Yay! Basketball…I think

Okay, today I was looking forward to playing basketball with several of Kami’s siblings, and that seemed to be a big let down, as all we did was play one game of ‘Around the World’. I won by 4 shots and was down at one point by at least 14 shots. I was hoping we would actually play basketball, maybe a game of ‘21′ or something, but never got that chance.

After church this morning, we (Kami and I) invited several of our college class to her house for lunch and had a good time chatting and making jokes. For lunch we had Pork Roast, Chicken, German Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, Corn, and Biscuits. Following lunch there was strawberry cake and chocloate chip cookies.

After lunch I was hoping to get in some more basketball, but it seems every sibling rather watch a movie instead and thus I pretty much ended up asleep, as I had maybe 3 hours of sleep so far for the day. I just haven’t had a good night’s rest for a while and its slowly catching up with me.

Once Kami noticed I was falling asleep she suggested we go back to my place so both of us could nap, but of course by this time, it was getting close to 5:00 PM and that meant any sleeping may deter sleeping later (which I really did not need, as I need to make it to the post office this morning!). When we got to my place, I turned on the TV and noticed that coming up next was “You’ve Got Mail!”. Overall, this movie is alright. I found it to be slow at times, but we got past that.

By the time the movie was over, it was nearly 8:00 PM and thus Kami and I needed to get eat some more food as we had to be at the church again at 9:00 PM to learn how to set the alarm as she locks the doors this week. Trying to set the alarm today was quite an experience. The power outage we had today must have affected it at some point as the stupid thing we never set, and once it did, would never unset. After a good 40 minutes we finally got it all situated and had it working in top shape again.

Following our church escapade, we headed to my place once again to make our own version of a “Monster Cookie”, which is a warm chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream and hershey syrup on top. Talk about a good ending to an evening. After that, we were both tired so I took Kami home and then crashed in my bed and got a really decent sleep. :)

The Present…DOPE!

Okay, today I was expecting to receive my surprise for Kami and since the mail never comes to my house till around 2:00 PM, I slept in. BIG MISTAKE! The mail man came early in the morning and so I was left with a note to go to the Post Office on Monday to pick it up! So now I am anxiously awaiting to pick it up so I can see it with my own two eyes.

My grandparents got back today from their week of vacation in the Smokies and they seemed dead tired but looked like that had a good time. They were disappointed that the roofers did not complete the new roof yet as they were expecting it to be done before they got back, however, I am sure they will talk with them on Monday. When they came back my tent and three boxes of my stuff were ready for me to take down stairs as my Parents brought it up with them so it could be brought to me. (My parents went to the Smokies too)

Included in one of the boxes was Kami’s birthday gift from my parents, in which she received, the DVD Ever After and Serendipity. She also received a stuffed Mickey Mouse playing Golf and a $50 gift card to KOHL’s. She was excited to receive the movie ‘Ever After’, I on the other hand was not so thrilled. I HATE DREW BARRYMORE.

As for the rest of my night, I was upset for not being able to sign for the package arriving today. I cannot believe that happened! I was looking forward to receiving it and being able to check it out making sure nothing was wrong with it. Oh well. Monday at 9:00 AM I will be picking it up and doing just that!

Now on the developer side of things, I started to work on the PayPal implementation today, and got distracted by Vice City and the constant mayhem I was causing to their Policec Department. I must admit, it is fun going around and blasting a ton of people. So I delayed the working with PayPal once again, hopefully next time I start it, I will actually go through with it. :-P
